27th July 2020 – Acton Trussel

We stayed for the weekend in Penkridge, Steve and Caroline sailed off on the Sunday and we said we’d catch up on the Monday. The sail from Penkridge was lovely. The weather was not great and we did get a jolly good watering on the way, but it hardly detracted from the picturesque surroundings.
Four locks later and a couple of miles down the canal we arrived and spotted Steve and Caroline moored in a lovely quiet part of the canal just before the bridge. We had a look around the village, and to be honest there was not a lot to it apart from some very nice houses.
