19th July 2019 – Stuck at Bidford with a broken loo
Bidford is nice, don’t get me wrong, but there is nothing particularly special here. So it is a real pain that following on from yesterdays phantom flushing the toilet decided to give up altogether this morning. Lucky for us that the recreation ground has really nice public toilets open between 08:00 and 18:00. There are always pubs too.
Fixing the toilet should come down to replacing a ribbon cable according to Ashley at Lee Sanitation so I have that turning up at Dave Bayliss’s house tomorrow for him to come and fit tomorrow evening. Then, hopefully that will get the toilet back up and running. Its amazing what a big impact not having a toilet has on us – so we need to be extra careful with that precious item of equipment!
We spent most of the day in the recreation ground, which is a really pleasant thing to do, and the sun even began to come out on occasions. So all in all it could be a lot worse.
So, fish and chips tonight and then the waiting game for Dave with the cable and then, hopefully we can crack on! I cannot believe we are on day 9 and still on the Avon!!
