14th July 2019 – Evesham Lock and a RED status Avon
So with the river in it’s ‘unadvisable to travel’ mode, we were sort of stuck. The place where we were moored above the lock was fine and dry and we could easily get the dog on and off the boat. So, as things went it was not a bad place to be. Of course, we had a broken inverter and a dodgy noise coming from the propshaft which all needed sorting. So I called Dave – who is a true awesome dude. We arrange for him to come and see us on Saturday and take a look at all my handy work on breaking stuff.
In the meantime, we went for quite a walk into Evesham to get a radio which we could use from Batteries rather than mains (as we had node) and for that we ended up walking a mile or so to Argos. Anyway, the radio is worth it!!
We are all hoping Dave can sort things out for us tomorrow…
