Strensham Mill to Pershore

Day 1: Monday 10th June 2019

On Monday the 10th we set off! We purchased a new bottle of gas for our Cadac cooker and refilled the large gas bottle for all our cooking on the boat and then off we went!

The going was good and we made good time, however the weather was dank, grey and drizzley – so not the best!

Leaving Strensham Mill on the Avon – just look at those clouds!

The night before we left, Tevor our boating neighbour drove us to a real ale focused pub (and the ale was amazing) and entertained us with his blues – absolutely brilliant Wendy and I were very impressed!

Trevor dong his stuff!

Our aim was to get to Pershore where there is quite a lot of mooring and a massive Asda where we can stock up on goodies. We had a few spots of rain on the way, but luckily the weather held off the serious stuff until after we arived. We did the 8 miles or so in just over 3 hours – so no land speed records but good progress. I noticed that at certain rev ranges I get a large vibration from the prop shaft – so we may need to take a look at that soon.
