Penkridge

25th-26th July 2020 – Penkridge for the weekend

A very pleasant pub in the centre of the town of Penkridge. Rather surprisingly we did not go there!

So after a jolly good pump out we carried on the wiggly windy canal path to Penkridge, which lies almost in the centre of the part of the Staffy that we are on. It has a lock right in the middle of it too. On the way in our map showed that there was a water point to fill up from, but this turned out to belong to a pub. The real shame of it was we had to have a beer in order to use it! Still, we took a deep breath and went for it.

It was here that we caught up with Steve and Caroline again, and in fact they came and aided us with the imposed beer situation – what true friends they are! We had a stroll up into town, but my foot was really giving me hell, so I found somewhere to sit whist Wendy carried on to the co-op for some supplies.
