1st to 3rd July 2019- 3 Days of rest at Saltisford
After all that exercise doing the locks we decided to book ourselves in to the boat yard at the bottom of the locks for a few nights to recharge our batteries. We also had electric plugin so we could recharge the boat batteries at the same time. The yard is very close to Warwick and had a good write up in the book, and it is about 10 minutes from a large Sainsburys.
We went to the Sainsbury’s in Warwick and there it has an Argos inside – which was handy as we had lost one of the walkie talkies in the locks – so we got a couple of replacements. It’s cool that they use the same frequency as the old ones, so we now have 3 of them to use. The part of Warwick we are near to is very pleasant and a mix of old and new. Like most high streets these days it is predominated by coffee shops and charity shops, but is still clinging on to some other stores to give a little interest! It has lots of pubs too – but we restrained!
