25th & 26th July 2019 – Wilmcote to Wootton Wawen.

We stayed overnight in Wilmcote then went to the post office again to collect the part to fix our loo. Hmm, despite sending 3 photos and a photo of the label denoting the model number of the toilet the supplier managed to send the wrong part! So that was a waste of time then.
After a conversation with the supplier which went along the lines of “take a look at the email I sent you with 3 photos of the part I need….” he decided that he would send a different part to the post office at Wootton Wawen for free. So that is where we are heading next.
We are also in need of supplies so the fact that Wootton Wawen has a farm shop complex is a good thing. In fact, there is a boat yard just before the bridge into WW so we can get pumped out and fill up with Diesel.
The trip up was lovely and Wendy and I really are starting to feel that this is what it is all about – sailing on calm canal waters through some very beautiful countryside. We arrived at the boat yard and after a bit of faffing managed to moore up and get filled up. We then moored along the canal a bit and walked into the farm complex. It was lovely – really well done, but its crowning glory was a burger at the coffee shop! That was one hell of a burger – absolutely lovely.

We walked up to the post office and got the correct part which Dave can fit tonight and then we’re fully operational!
