We left the marina on the 6th April and drove over to Ron’s in Clacton to stay. Ron was really Ill, we suspect with covid-19. He was so Ill in fact, he was unable to make the funeral. We decided that we would have to stay and look after him as there was no way we were going to leave him to fend for himself. We stayed long enough that he had recovered and was doing ok, and we were not showing any symptoms.
We eventually got back to the boat on the boat on the 18th where it’s been very quiet since.
Hiya, I know Dad and us was soo grateful of what you both did. It was lovely of us all being together and there for each other through the hardest time of all of our lives, love you both xxx đź’•

Sorry to read your sad news Wendy. Bob looks at your blog now and again and tells me where you are and any news. We know it’s your birthday tomorrow and hope you have a happy day. We’re both ok but isolated as Bob has asthma and had a chest infection late February. Had to cancel 40th wedding anniversary trip to Tobago but probably for the best as things turned out. Get in touch if you fancy a chat. Love Mil & Bob

Hello Mil (and Bob) – its great to know you are both well and keeping an eye on us! Wendy really misses Lynn, she used to talk with her every week and still thinks to call her when something happens. We are bedded down in a Marina near Stone (think Stock on Trent) waiting for Dee’s flat to finally complete so we can help her to move. As usual there has been all the normal faffing and delay by the solicitors (not ours, mind you – he’s been great). We hope to here sometime next week (w/c 8th June) – she was supposed to move in April!! Such fun. I will start posting here again when there is something to talk about canal-wise. In the meantime, stay safe and well.
